About
I grew up on Jekka's, previously known as Jekka's Herb Farm, a small organic herb farm in South Gloucestershire, at a time when organic farming was not widely recognised. My childhood involved running the family vegetable patch and selling herbs at a number of flower shows; such as the RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court flower shows.
I completed my studies; first at the University of Southampton in Oceanography followed by a Doctorate at the Grantham Institute of Climate Change, Imperial College London in Climate Change and Fluid Dynamics. During this time I completed various placements, fellowships or research cruises in Germany, Canada and Greenland as well as in the UK Parliament.
After successfully gaining my PhD, I started as a management consultant in the fields of analytics and data science. This builds upon the analytical component of my Doctorate. I have over 6 years experience managing and working in analytics and data science teams for a variety of large infrastructure companies including, Heathrow Airport, Network Rail, Thames Water and EDF energy in London, Sydney and Madrid. Please see my LinkedIn for more information.
In 2018 I completed the Leiths professional diploma in Food and Wine and returned to the herb farm to work within the family business and develop the food offering, herb experiences and products.
