Doctorate in Climate Change and Trainee Chef
Passionate about the environment and
understanding the world around us

Introduction

I am always seeking to fulfil my curiosity with the world around us. I grew up on Jekka's Herb Farm, now simply know as Jekka's, an internationally recognised herb farm that is home to Jekka's Herbetum, a collection of over 400 culinary herbs. My career spans climate change, food, technology and business. Please contact me for collaborations or projects in sustainability, climate change or food. I am currently supporting the family business, running herb experiences and master classes out of the farm and developing a range of products, including herbal infusions and illustrated gifts.

Products
With my sister, Hannah McVicar, an illustrator and print maker, we have developed a range of products for Jekka's that were launched at the 2019 RHS Chelsea Flower. See our herbal infusion and illustrated gift & homeware range through the links below.

Sustainability
Understanding the environment and our impact upon it has always been apart of my life; from growing up on an award winning herb farm to studying oceanography and climate change at university. I have published on energy efficiency with the UK's Parliament and on climate change with the Green Alliance. I have also run conferences and workshops on climate change as well as co-founding the Climate-KIC alumni association. I am very passionate about climate change and sustainability. Please see my blog posts on cooking, herbs and sustainability or get in contact if you have any initiatives you would like support on.
